I hope you have all had a great summer and took the time to enjoy the weather and some well deserved downtime. As we all gear up for the Fall season, my favorite of all, we will all be busy getting back into the swing of “business as usual”. I have recently been working on many advances and updates in techniques and technologies that I am eager to share with you all. Hopefully, we will enjoy some continued mild weather over the next few months and channel some of the summer’s pleasures into being the best version of ourselves. I look forward to sharing some tricks to help that effort along! Looking forward to catching up with all of you.

It’s Fraxel Time!!!!
The Fraxel laser has become the gold standard in treating sun damage and all forms of safe skin resurfacing. In addition to ridding of brown spots, shrinking pores, and smoothening out skin texture, studies have proven the Fraxel® line of lasers to be effective for resistant melasma and to reverse and treat precancerous sun damage called actinic keratosis. For those patients that have no time for downtime, the Clear & Brilliant Fraxel laser allows patients to break up their regimen into several treatments allowing them to return to work immediately. Dr. Frank is one of the very few laser surgeons in the country to have the full line of Fraxel® brand products. Please refer to our Fraxel® website to see which procedure is right for you.
Dr. Frank Develops the ULTRATIGHTTM procedure
As a renowned expert in fat removal techniques and skin tightening technologies, Dr. Frank has developed a minimally invasive neck and jaw line procedure that has a 24 hour recovery and can be performed purely under local anesthetic. During the procedure, fat can be removed from the neck and jowl area while simultaneously and internally tightening the area with ultrasound technology. No Cutting, No general anesthesia , minimal recovery, and superior results. Take a look! Only at the 5th Avenue dermatology surgery & laser center. Learn more.
As one of the leading liposuction experts in the country, Dr. Frank was one of the first clinicians in the U.S. to offer LiposonixTM technology. Using High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), Liposonix permanently removes small stubborn areas of fat on any area of the body. Now with recent advances in the technology the treatment is faster, more effective and more tolerable than ever. As a world renowned expert in fat removal, Dr. Frank has found this particular device to be the most effective amongst the non-invasive devices.
Ultherapy conquers the décolletage
Currently the most popular and effective non-invasive, skin tightening device on the market, Ulthera has recently developed protocols and approval for treatment on the stubborn chest area. Still totally non-invasive ultrasound technology and free of downtime, we have seen dramatic results in improving creapy and wrinkled skin on the chest. For details on the procedure, click here.
With 15 years of leading expertise in fat removal procedures, Dr. Frank continues to be at the forefront of the rapidly expanding field of minimally invasive and non-invasive body contouring techniques. Voluma facial filler has been on the market for enough time to make some judgement. Although it has proven to be a useful filler for some patients to restore volume, it has been a disappointment in its proposed longevity. It does not last anywhere close to the advertised 2 years. I would say approximately 9 months is a fair estimate. Given its high cost, it is not the first line product for volume restoration in our practice. Dr. Frank tends to use Voluma in those few patients that do not prefer Radiesse or Perlane, which continue to be his first line fillers.
