Cosmetic Injectables
With over 25 years of experience in injectables, Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank is a pioneer in non-invasive facial lifting and rejuvenation using a range of neuromodulators and fillers. He is renowned for being one of the largest volume injectors globally, performing over 30 patient injections daily and utilizing more than 20 substances at his PFRANKMD™ center of cosmetic excellence. Since his involvement as an original injector in the first FDA trials of Restylane in 2001, Dr. Frank remains at the forefront of research and technique development with the multitude of injectables available today.
Which Injectables Are Used?
With 3 types of neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin and fillers such as Restylane, Juvéderm, Radiesse, Belotero and their variations, Dr. Frank has a full palette of options to sculpt and rejuvenate patients back to the best version of themselves; all safely, effectively, and most importantly, with a natural appearance. His motto remains that there is no best substance or treatment, only what is best for each individual.
How is Dr. Frank’s Approach
to Injectables Different?
At PFRANKMD, we treat FACES NOT FEATURES! It’s not what you do, but how you do it that makes all the difference. Dr. Frank is often asked where he prioritizes injectable treatments on the face- and his answer is always the same – everywhere! Rather than just treat specific regions – lips, eyes, cheekbones, chins, earlobes – he treats people with a global approach to rejuvenation. With the boom of cosmetic treatments and the entrance of injectable providers without appropriate training, expertise, or artistry, there has been a dramatic rise in dissatisfying, unnatural results, and avoidable risks. The central ethos of Dr. Frank’s approach continues to be small amounts in many places and frequent small touch-ups to keep patients looking natural and feeling their best.
What Areas Can Be
Treated with Injectables?
Neuromodulators and dermal fillers are both used to improve the appearance of the face, but they work in different ways. When it comes to neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, these injectables share a common purpose—to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles by relaxing muscles. Dermal fillers, such as Restylane, Juvéderm, and Radiesse, take a different approach—they restore volume, enhance contours, and rejuvenate various facial areas.
Under Eye Fillers
As we age, the skin under the eyes loses volume, which causes hollowing and makes the fat pocket look more pronounced. Under eye circles are a combination of brown pigment, purple discoloration, and a loss volume, which only gets more pronounced over time. Our under eye filler treatments can instantly rejuvenate this delicate area and improve the hollowness and pigment. Small changes make a significant difference, and there is no single best technique. At PFRANKMD, we use a variety of fillers to achieve custom results.
Lip Fillers
Our lip filler treatments, featuring Restylane, Juvéderm, Belotero, or Radiesse, are meticulously crafted to meet each individual’s needs. Replacing volume in the lips is not about making your lips look done, but restoring the natural shape and volume that maximizes your smile and complements your facial features.
Lip Flip
The Lip Flip is a simple and effective lip enhancing procedure that is achieved by using precise doses of neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, around the mouth. This technique is designed to relax the muscles around the upper lip, causing the lip to gently flip upward. The result is a subtle enhancement that gives the illusion of a fuller and more defined upper lip, without the need for dermal fillers. Results can be seen after 1 week and last approximately 4 months. It can be performed alone or with lip volumizers. A lip flip is also great for correcting gummy smiles and fine lines around the mouth.
Perioral Fillers
The lips and perioral region play a crucial role in expressing your emotions and framing your features. Our perioral filler treatments skillfully enhance lip volume, redefine contours, and address vertical lip lines.
Wrinkle Relaxers
Our wrinkle relaxer treatments, utilizing Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, unveil a smoother canvas by gently reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. With a precise touch, we restore a youthful expression for a transformative yet natural look.
Jawline Fillers
Our jawline filler treatments enhance definition, add volume, and create a balanced, refined profile. With an artist’s eye, we craft a sculpted jawline that harmonizes with your overall facial aesthetics.
Chin Filler
Chin filler is a popular cosmetic procedure that involves injecting dermal fillers to enhance the shape and projection of the chin. It can help create a more balanced facial profile by adding definition and symmetry to the chin area. This treatment is often chosen by individuals seeking to achieve a stronger jawline or correct a receding chin without the need for surgery.
TMJ/Facial Slimming
Filler can also be used for TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) or facial slimming purposes. By injecting neuromodulators or dermal fillers into the masseter muscles, which are responsible for chewing and clenching the jaw, the muscles can be relaxed or reshaped. This can alleviate symptoms of TMJ disorders and reduce the appearance of a wide or square jawline, resulting in a more slender and aesthetically pleasing facial contour.
Traps (Trapezius Muscles)
Trapezius filler injections are an emerging trend in cosmetic treatments. By injecting dermal fillers into the trapezius muscles, the area can appear fuller and more sculpted, enhancing the overall look of the neck and upper back. This procedure is often sought after by individuals who desire a more defined and athletic appearance in these areas.
Earlobe Filler
Earlobe filler involves injecting dermal fillers into the earlobes to restore volume and firmness. Over time, earlobes can lose elasticity and become saggy or elongated due to aging or wearing heavy earrings. Earlobe filler can rejuvenate the earlobes, making them appear plump and youthful, and it can also provide additional support for wearing earrings without them stretching the earlobe further.
Neck Lines
Treating necklines with filler is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure aimed at rejuvenating the delicate skin of the neck area. Injecting dermal fillers into the skin, healthcare can soften the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin on the neck. This treatment restores lost volume and hydration, resulting in a smoother, more youthful-looking neck.
Recovery, Results & Reversal
The recovery period for injectable treatments is typically minimal. After the procedure, you might experience some mild swelling, bruising, or redness around the injection sites, which usually subsides within a few days to a week. Most individuals can resume their daily activities immediately after the treatment. It’s recommended to avoid intense physical activity, alcohol consumption, and excessive sun exposure for the first 24 to 48 hours to minimize any potential side effects. The results of injectable treatments are often noticeable right away and continue to improve over the following weeks as the treatment settles and any initial swelling diminishes.
The reasons for reversing fillers range from incorrectly placed filler, too much filler, allergies to filler, or emergency situations where there is compression or blockage of a blood vessel as a result of injection. In non emergency situations there is as much of a skill in reversing filler as there is in using filler. Hyaluronidase, an enzyme that catalyses the breakdown of hyaluronic acid must be injected slowly to achieve a ‘scultpted down result’. This prevents deflation reactions that could leave a patient looking empty. It is essential that any injector is as skilled as managing complications as they are at placing filler.
